1、 Standard Overview
GB 19153-2019 "Minimum Allowable Values and Energy Efficiency Grades for Positive Displacement Air Compressors" (implemented on July 1, 2020) is a mandatory national standard, which focuses on controlling the energy efficiency of air compressors through the classification and admission of unit specific power (kW/(m ³/min).

3、 Definition of Core Terms
Unit volumetric flow rate: actual displacement under standard suction conditions (m ³/min).
Unit power: The total electrical power input to the compressor (excluding post-processing equipment).
Unit specific power: Unit power ÷ Unit volumetric flow rate (core assessment indicator, the lower the value, the more energy-efficient it is).
Energy efficiency level: divided into level 1 (highest), level 2, and level 3 (entry threshold).
4、 Energy efficiency rating and limit values
Special rules for frequency converters: Weighted specific power is calculated based on 25%/50%/70%/100% load weighting, with 70% load having the highest weight (0.4); The minimum air volume greater than 40% of full load is evaluated according to the fixed speed machine.
5、 Calculation Method (GB/T 3853 Execution)
Test parameters: Simultaneously measure volumetric flow rate, input power, exhaust pressure, suction temperature/humidity, and instrument accuracy meets GB/T 3853.
Specific power calculation: eVC=P/q (P=unit input power, q=volumetric flow rate).
Weighted formula for frequency converter: eVC (weighted)=0.1 × eVC25%+0.2 × eVC50%+0.4 × eVC70%+0.3 × eVC100%.
6、 Meaning of rules
Production end: forcing enterprises to upgrade their designs (such as high-efficiency hosts, permanent magnet motors, and variable frequency control) and eliminate inefficient production capacity.
User side: When purchasing, equipment can be selected according to energy efficiency levels, significantly reducing long-term electricity costs.
