The equipment administrator or installation and maintenance personnel of the factory need to ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment and avoid faults caused by vibration and settlement when planning installation. We need to consider the importance of the foundation, as an unqualified foundation can lead to high maintenance costs or safety hazards in the future. Different equipment types, such as oil and oil-free air compressors, have different requirements for vibration, which may need to be specifically pointed out. At the same time, different models may have special requirements.
1、 Basic principles
Solid and stable: The foundation must be able to withstand the static load (weight of the equipment itself) and dynamic load (vibration and impact force during operation) of the equipment, without settlement or deformation.
Vibration isolation and reduction: effectively isolate and reduce the vibration generated during equipment operation, prevent vibration from being transmitted to the building structure, and thus avoid affecting the factory itself and other precision equipment.
Horizontal flatness: Ensure that the contact surface between the equipment base and the foundation is completely horizontal, which is the foundation for ensuring the alignment accuracy of core components such as the host and motor, and can prevent abnormal wear and tear.
Drainage and anti-corrosion: For water-cooled air compressors or environments where condensation may occur, the foundation should be designed with appropriate slopes or drainage ditches to prevent water accumulation from soaking the equipment foundation and avoiding corrosion.
2. Differences in device types:
Piston type air compressor: It has the highest vibration and requires the highest quality of the foundation and vibration reduction. High quality shock absorbers must be used.
Screw air compressor: runs smoothly with minimal vibration, but still has strict requirements for levelness. Good results can be achieved by using standard damping pads or dampers.
Centrifugal air compressor: The equipment itself is very precise and highly sensitive to uneven settlement of the foundation, requiring a specially designed heavy foundation.
When ensuring firmness, isolating vibration, and reserving space, it is necessary to develop appropriate construction plans for existing conditions.
